What it is made of
The Stones
Every creation here begins with a material and its story. These are the stones I work with, and what they are kept for.
Uranium Glass · Amethyst · Obsidian · Moss Agate · Blood Stone
Uranium Glass
Uranium glass carries a quiet glow, an echo of light born from trace whispers of uranium within. Its radiance is gentle, not dangerous, sealed safely inside the smooth glass that holds it. The energy it carries is ancient and faint, a reminder of the earth’s deep alchemy rather than a threat. Worn against the skin, it’s more charm than peril; a soft shimmer from another time, perfectly safe to keep close.
Under UV light it glows a bright and striking green. Uranium glass is a vintage, rare material, so every creation made from it is genuinely one of a kind.
Found in every collection. For the history of the glass itself, and why it is safe to wear, see Uranium Glass Lore.
Amethyst
Traditionally linked to clarity, calm and protection, and said to clear the mind and steady the emotions. Its name comes from the Greek amethystos, meaning not intoxicated, and it has been kept for moderation ever since.
Amethyst is used the world over as a healing stone with powerful protective vibrations. It is said to clear spaces of negative energy and to purify them, to soothe stress and anxieties, and to assist with positive intentions and clarity. Those who work with it find it an excellent crystal for meditation, where intuition and psychic ability are said to deepen. It is also kept for nightmares, insomnia, and ailments of the blood.
Obsidian
Obsidian is a heavy hitter in the metaphysical world. Because it is essentially volcanic glass, lava that cooled so fast it did not have time to crystallise, it is thought to carry a raw, chaotic and lightning-fast energy. In spiritual circles it is often called the Mirror Stone, because it does not simply protect you; it reflects your shadow self back at you, forcing you to confront the parts of yourself you might be hiding.
It is considered one of the strongest shields against psychic smog and emotional vampires, said to absorb negative energy rather than merely deflecting it. Tied to the Root Chakra, it helps pull spacey energy back down to earth, and is a go-to for anyone feeling scattered or overwhelmed by modern life.
It is famous for pulling hidden truths to the surface, and it does not sugarcoat. If there is a toxic habit or a buried trauma holding you back, obsidian is believed to bring it into the light so you can deal with it. Historically used for knives and arrowheads, its metaphysical equivalent is cutting energetic cords, breaking ties with toxic people or past versions of yourself.

Moss Agate
A beautifully earthy stone, one for new beginnings and fresh starts, perfect to wear when embarking on new projects, new chapters and periods of growth. Moss agate also attracts wealth in all forms: practical, spiritual and creatively.
Symbolically it represents growth and renewal, its dendritic inclusions mimicking moss and roots, symbolic of growth pushing through soil. On this same note you will find grounding and stability, and a deep earth connection, noticing your energy centred and rooted. This is perfect for urban dwellers who miss green spaces. Moss agate can help you to feel emotional balance, soothing anxiety, calming an overactive mind and bringing patience to stressful situations.

Blood Stone
True to the blood in its name, this stone is heavily linked to the Root and Heart Chakra. It is believed to boost physical energy, stamina and Prana, or life force. If you have been feeling sluggish or recovering from burnout, it is often used to jump-start the system. Historically it is known as a stone of the warrior: it does not just give you physical strength, it provides the mental fortitude to face difficult situations. It is used to dissolve false self-perceptions, encourage self-confidence, and promote resilience during major life transitions.
Because it contains green Epidote, it resonates strongly with the Heart Chakra. Unlike some grounding stones that can feel heavy, blood stone encourages compassion and forgiveness, helping you let go of old emotional wounds, and love in action, pushing you to take your kind intentions and actually do something productive with them.
It acts as an anchor, excellent for staying centred when the world around you feels chaotic. It is said to create a protective aura that wards off negativity while keeping you connected to the earth’s energy.
